Sorry for the delay in posting! I have switched gears and took up quilting in the past year! It is a fun way to be creative while carrying on the tradition my grandma started. She was amazing at quilting and sewing. My inspiration in life. I miss her everyday! I hope you enjoy the new twist on my life. I can't say I mind it, however, I do miss painting at times, just can't get into the swing of it lately!
Into the wilderness.....

My Grandma Carol made this Quilt top before she passed away. At least 5 years ago or more. She was a Vietnam vet and truly loved our country. She was proud to be American. This is must have been an army quilt, there was a patch sewn on the bottom of an American flag.
Anyway, my brother turned 16 last month, he was 11 when she passed away so I thought this would be something perfect that he could have forever. I finished the quilt for him while I was home, which made for a beautiful place to take photos. He loved it, as I knew he would. I was proud that I could finish it for him, I knew her intentions were good with all of these quilt-tops I have in my beautiful vintage chest.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! |
